FALA Volunteer Corps
We are currently seeking new members to be on our Volunteer Advisory Counsel. This is the “leadership” board of our organization and is a great way to stay in touch with everything that we are working on and all of the happenings at the school. These positions are NOT a huge responsibility. In general, the Advisory Counsel meets ONCE A MONTH on the second Tuesday at 6:30 to 8:00 pm.
Vice President: This position entails supporting and backing up the President. There are no specific duties involved beyond taking over if the President is unable to make a meeting or needs help.
Secretary: This position essentially involves being the main person who takes MINUTES during our meeting. We use Google Docs for our Agenda/Minutes and the entire group actually helps write them together – it would be your job to focus on it. After the meeting, you would then take the minutes, clean them up a little, and post them to our website. With all of us working on the minutes together, this is actually a fairly easy job.
Member: We are always looking for people to join our team and help us make decisions. A “Member” simply comes to the meetings and helps us decide on things. You get a voice and a vote on any decisions, have access to our agenda to add your own thoughts, and primarily would help us guide our group.
If you are interested in “Joining Our Advisory Counsel” then please contact Susan Fox (President) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
