Agenda Items:


Business Agenda

  • Treasurer Report (Stasia Floley)
    • Currently have: $968.34
    • Elena and Shauntel have receipts for flowers presented to Dean Crawley. Needs reimbursement.
    • Fill out reimbursement form online and submit to Eli
    • Vote to remove the Treasurer position from the Planning Committee has been passed.
      • All other rules concerning handling money will remain the same


  • Executive Director Report (Eli Cohen)
    • Hiring new staff at FALA: 
    • Dean has been selected, awaiting paperwork. (Jed Hayes)
    • New Business Manager (Elizabeth Camp)
    • New SPED teacher- accepted contract today (Christine?)

Upcoming Activities:

  • Schedule Pick-Up days: July 30th & 31st CANCELLED (NEW PLAN – ELI)
    • All online per Sara’s email. Students must check their FALA email to receive their schedule.
    • New Student Orientation: July 30th and 31st.
    • Get info for BBQ, Roundtable, Make a Difference Day, Tax Credit for flyers to be made for the new student orientation.
  • Fall Roundtable: Set for September 19th @ 6:30 – 8:00PM
    • Revisit during August meeting
  • Debbie will create a SignUp Genius with Volunteer Corp needs (Send the week of the 29th).
    • Appreciation Team – General volunteers (Captain & co-Captain has been filled)
    • One grant person (parent volunteer) on Eli’s team
    • Two fundraising parent volunteers to help administration with fundraisers
    • Communications Team – New Captain & 2-3 co-Captains
      • Captain to work with school communication platform

    • Year in Review – Sent out July 4th
    • Set a Communications Team Meeting (after “job” sign up goes out)
    • Eli, Joe, and Josh to meet on August 14th @ 3:30 at White Dove
    • Save The Date Emailer (go out this week)
      • Fall BBQ (Aug 17th 3 – 6PM)
      • Roundtable (Sept 19th 6:30 to 8 pm)
      • Fall Beautification/Make a Difference Day (Oct 26th 9AM-12PM)
  • Beautification Team Report (Debbie Bodin)
    • June 17-18 Wash Project- weeding/herbacide spraying, rocks, mulching, care of previously planted plants- a lot accomplished
      • Fall Beautification/Make a Difference Day: Set for Saturday, October 26th from 9AM-12PM
  • Events Team Report (Tim Mahannah)
    • Fall BBQ: Saturday, August 17th from 3 – 6PM
    • Music has been arranged for entertainment
    • Tim to follow last year’s SignUp for event needs. SignUp to go out next week.
